Who we are

MigraTech is a WhatsApp-based migration concierge service. This policy explains what information we collect when you message us on WhatsApp or interact with our platform, how we use it, and how we protect it. It applies to prospective and current clients, not to visitors browsing this website alone.

Information we collect

We collect information directly from you, mainly through your WhatsApp conversation with us:

  • Contact details — your WhatsApp number and the name/profile info visible on your WhatsApp account.
  • Migration profile — the destination country, migration intent (work, study, family, etc.) and qualifications you tell us about, used to match you to a pathway.
  • Documents you upload — such as passports, academic certificates, or other supporting documents you choose to send us for a specific pathway.
  • Conversation history — the messages exchanged between you, our bot, and our staff, kept so a specialist can pick up your case with full context.
  • Consultation and task records — bookings, follow-up tasks, and internal fee/payment records tied to your case.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Match you against migration pathways and give you an honest read on your eligibility.
  • Let our specialists review your documents and guide your application.
  • Communicate with you about your case, including follow-ups and reminders.
  • Track the status of your application and any related tasks internally.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you without human review.

How we protect it

Documents you upload are encrypted at rest before storage. Access to our internal dashboard is restricted to authenticated staff accounts with role-based permissions — general agents can view and act on cases, while sensitive actions (like managing the knowledge base or staff accounts) require an administrator role. Every action a staff member takes on your case — reviewing a document, updating your status, sending you a message — is logged in an internal audit trail.

Human review

Your initial conversation is handled by an automated assistant. If a conversation is escalated — because you ask for a human, or the assistant can't help further — a staff member takes over and replies to you directly; the assistant stays quiet on that conversation until it's handed back. Uploaded documents are reviewed by a person, not approved automatically.

WhatsApp & third parties

We communicate with you over WhatsApp. Your use of WhatsApp is also governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy and terms, which we don't control. We don't sell your information to third parties, and we only share it with people or systems involved in delivering the service to you (for example, the specialist handling your case).

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as it's needed to provide our service to you and to maintain accurate records of your case, or as required by law. If you'd like your data deleted sooner, contact us and we'll act on that request unless we have a legitimate reason to retain specific records.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

  • Show you the information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that's inaccurate or out of date.
  • Delete your information, subject to the retention note above.
  • Stop contacting you — just say so on WhatsApp.
To exercise any of these rights, message us on WhatsApp or use the Contact page. We'll respond directly rather than through an automated form.

Children

Our service is intended for adults seeking migration guidance. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use MigraTech after a change means you accept the updated policy.
